Mayor Walker blasts fellow Councilors over credit card policy vote
Former City Manager Tarron Richardson said a new credit card policy was "of paramount importance" back in 2019, but City Council resisted adopting his proposal.
"Yesterday, the four other councilors -who haven’t created anything during their tenure- voted against allowing each councilor to have meaningful discretionary spending. Even the $2,200 that staff proposed, was decreased to $1000 because Lloyd believes that individuals councilors shouldn’t have discretionary spending. Actually, former city manager Tarron Richardson first proposed a spending limit, along with a re-hauling of the city's credit card policy, shortly after he became city manager.
