City Schools Re-Opening: parents, students, really, really, really, really, really struggling.

The Charlottesville School Board voted 4-3 last night to move Buford Middle School and Charlottesville High School to a hybrid model opening after spring break. Thought of doing a write-up, but decided just to let parents and kids speak for themselves. Which pretty much tells the story. Collected from various news reports:
Shymora Cooper, parent (The Daily Progress.) - “That’s been really challenging to me — to watch your son be so vibrant and now he’s a totally different child. Academically, he’s doing well, but emotionally and mentally, he’s really, really, really, really, really struggling.”
Rachel Thielmann, parent of two CHS students (The DTM) - "I think a lot of other parents besides myself were getting a feeling of "we don't know what to do so we just aren't going to have school" which seemed...kind of crazy.
