Left: "I'm the owner of Les Fabriques. I started this business 36 years ago. I'm immersed in fabric and sewing. I started sewing when I got my first Barbie as a child, and I used to design clothes for her. Here, we don't like Big-Box fashion. We disapprove of Chinese and Indian sweatshops. At Les Fabriques, we start teaching kids how to sew at age 7. It's a great skill to have."

Right: "I've been sewing since I was 9."
